Participation Requirements

  1.      Pass 5 classes since the beginning of the previous semester.
    2.      Live within the recognized school district
    3.      Have a valid physical within the last year – form on file with school
    4.      Have health insurance coverage
  2.      Have a signed contract on file with the coaching staff
  3. 100% participation in fundraisers and practice
  4. only 3 excused absences (note from teacher or doctor required)
  5. 24 hour notice for being late or absent
  6. 100% payment of booster dues
  7. Demonstrate respect for all GCPS Staff


Excused Absence or Late Excuse:

taking a test or tutoring

– doctor’s appointment

– sick (this means you did not attend school)


3 Strikes  and You’re Out

Strike = unexcused absence for practice or a race

late to practice or race

Disciplinary issue with a teacher, coach, or GCPS employee

More than 3 strikes = dismissed from the team with no refund of booster dues.

Checks must be written to Mustang Track Booster Club

Track and Field Class of 2016 Highlights

Dachaun Barnes-
Dachaun Barnes has competed in Track and Field for all four years at Meadowcreek High School. He has competed in open running events like the 100m, 200m, and 400m as well as being an important relay team member in the varsity 4 x 400m as well as the 4 x 100m relay. Dachaun also competed in cross country for his senior year in order to condition for the 2016 track season. His personal records for each event are:
100m – 11.97
200m – 24.05
400m – 54.62
5K (xc) – 25:34.03
High Jump – 5-6
Long Jump – 18-11.25
Triple Jump – 42-6

He was also 5th place overall at the County Championships for Triple Jump. Other accomplishments include Dachuan Barnes winning the triple jump and being part of the 4 x 400m relay team that placed at Archer’s Tiger Creek Relays. Ran on the first place 4 x 400m team at the Eagle Open Meet.

Nidthal Watters
Nidthall Watters has competed in Track and Field for three years at Meadowcreek High School. He has competed in open running events in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and the long jump. He has also competed on the varsity boys 4 x 400m relay team in several meets as well.
100m – 12.71
200m – 24.75
400m – 55.15
800m – 2:15.72
Long Jump – 13-3
Nidthal was also part of the 2nd place Boys 4 x 400m relay team at Archer’s Tiger Creek Relays. Ran 3rd place finish with a time of 55.15 in the 400m dash and competed on the first place 4 x 400m team at the Eagle Open Meet.

Kyree Rogers-
Kyree has competed in Track and Field for the past two years placing 6th overall in the 100m dash at the County Championships and setting a new school record for Meadowcreek in the 100m dash. Kyree has competed in the mainly in 100m dash and on the varsity 4 x 100m relay team. His person records for each event are:
100m 10.87
200m 22.86
Kyree Rogers also placed 2nd in the 100m dash and was part of our 2nd place 4 x 100m relay team at Archer ‘s Tiger Creek Relays. Ran on the first place 4 x 100m team and won 1st place overall in the 100m dash at the Eagle Open Meet

Keanan Cason-
Keanan Cason has competed in the shot put for the past two years. His personal best throw for the shot put is 41-9.5. Keanan placed 9th overall in the County Championships Varsity Boys Shot Put as well as placing 2nd for the shot put in The Titan Tune Up, Titan Classic, and Eagle Open Meets.

Terrence Newborn
Terrence Newborn has competed in Meadowcreek Track and Field for two years. He has competed in the 100m, 200m, long jump, and triple jump as well as being a part of the varsity boys 4 x 100m relay team. Personal records for his events are
100m – 11.50
200m – 23.29
Long Jump – 21-10.25
Triple Jump – 42-11
Terrence is Gwinnett County’s third place Triple Jumper with a distance of 42-11. He has placed in the top 5 for triple jump out of the four meets he competed in that event. Terrence placed 1st in the triple jump at the Titan Tune Up and 3rd overall in the 100m dash at the Eagle Open Meet. Terrence also placed 1st in the long jump at Parkview’s Rumble in the Jungle Meet and is our All County Honorable Mention.

Anthony Jones
Anthony has competed for two years in Meadowcreek Track and Field. He has competed in the 100m, 200m, 400m, triple jump, and on the 4 x 400m relay team.

Ashley Adekweh46.19
Ashley Adekweh has been competing in track and field since she was a 7th grade student and has competed in Track and Field at Meadowcreek High School for all four years. Her high school events include 100m dash, 200m dash, 400m dash, long jump, and relay leg for the 4 x 100m relay. Ashley received honorable mention at the Gwinnett County Track All County Banquet as a junior and received the Mustang Award for Meadowcreek Track and Field for 2015. Although, Ashley has been injured this season, she looks forward to competing in track and field in college.

Eleana Nicol
Eleana Nicol has competed in Track and Field for all four years at Meadowcreek High School. Eleana has competed in the 100m, 200m, 400m, long jump, triple jump, varsity 4 x 100m relay teams, and 4 x 400m relay teams in her four years as a competitor. She received 2nd overall in the 100m dash at the Eagle Open this season and 6th in the open 100m at the Titan Classic

Ciara McCrae
Ciara McCrae has competed in Track and Field for one year at Meadowcreek High School. She conditioned with the cross country team in the Fall to prepare for track season where she ran the 100m, 200m, and 400m dash. She was also part of the 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m relay teams. She received a 6th place finish in the 100m dash at the Eagle Open

Saturday, February 13th Flapjack Fundraiser

Program Snapshot –

Conduct a Flapjack Fundraiser with Applebee’s on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.

Your organization sells a maximum of 400 tickets (200 tickets per hour seating session) and provides volunteers to work at the function; your group will keep a majority of the ticket sales revenue, minus $2 per confirmed guest (due IN CASH at time of arrival Saturday morning).

Each ticket price consists of 3 pancakes, syrup, butter, 2 sausage links, refills on tea,coffee, juice and sodas and use of the plates,silverware, glasses and napkins.
