Mustangs News · Samson Manmektew: Gwinnett Sports Commission Player of the Week

Congrats to Samson Manmektew, of Meadowcreek High School, for being the Gwinnett Sports Commission player of the week!

When we heard from Samson’s coach, she gave him some amazing compliments, saying, “Samson has the discipline it takes to be a leader and competitor. He is always eager to show me how great he can be and every race, he goes out to compete with his previous times. Samson really pulls the rest of the guys on the team to a higher standard. When you see a runner working as hard as Samson does in workouts and races, you can’t help but be inspired by it.”

Samson ran a personal best time for cross country of 17:33 in the Westover Invitational and 17:45 in the Gwinnett County Region meet. He placed in the top 20 for the region meet and is ranked number one on the Meadowcreek Cross Country team.

Not only is he an outstanding athlete, he also has a 4.0 GPA, is a member of Meadowcreek Student Council, Principal’s Elite, and is involved in various community service projects.

Keep up the great work, Samson!
